MODULE 2

PREZI PRESENTATION

This is my first Prezi presentation. I have chosen a topic that can be aimed at different ages because it's dealing with a cross-curricular topic such as emotions and self-consciousness. I would use this presentation as a warmer activity to set the main contents that later can be developed in other sessions. I have used the film Inside Out because I think it's perfect for this purpose and we can watch it in class aferwards.

- Objective:
The main purpose of this lesson is to encourage students to talk about their feelings and to be able to find different ways to respond to daily situations.

- Contents:
Use of English: Students will learn different kind of adjectives and idioms to express positive and negative feelings. They will also have the chance to practise different tenses when talking about their experiences.

Reading comprehension: the presentation gives an explanation of the different characters in the film, from which students should be able to set the main characteristics of each of the emotions.

Listening comprehension: the lesson is planned for students to share their feelings and experiences, so it is important that they can understand what their partners are telling.

Writing: there are different activities to implement the lesson such as writing a film review or  composotion about their most exciting / frightening etc. experience.

Speaking: this is the main goal. Students will practise how to express emotions, how to react to other people stories and how to give opinion. Many different games can be used to help them.

PIKTOCHART

I liked so much the different tools to create infographics, I think that they can be also a fanstastic way for students to create their own posters for the class. For sure I am going to use them in class :)

My infographic has been created for Secondary education to introduce William Shakespeare and the main highlights of his life. Actually this year we have celebrated the 400- year anniversary of his death and we have worked it  in class with different activities such as performing one of his best known plays "Romeo and Juliet", where students had to create a "modern version" of the scene in the balcony. Now that I know these infographics, I would have used them to ask students a task to introduce Shakespeare's plays.
